Binod Dhakal and Dipesh Bista are in the running for the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Electronic Governance Commission.

These two people have been shortlisted for the CEO of the Electronic Governance Commission and presented the details of the plan and gave an interview on Asoj 2.

Dhakal is the former president of the CAN federation, while Bista, another competitor, is an Information technology expert advisor to Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The Council of Ministers Office said that the meeting of the Council of Ministers will decide on this matter.

The CEO of the commission issued a 7-day notice on the application on Bhadra 24 and selected Dhakal and Bista on Asoj 2.

The government has issued an order because it is desirable to promote the use of electronic systems in the delivery of public services and government work, to make them systematic, reliable, and secure, and to establish and implement the necessary policies related to cyber security.

The purpose of the commission is to coordinate, facilitate and evaluate the implementation of other policies, programs, and projects related to information technology specified by the Government of Nepal including the Digital Nepal Framework, and to act as directed by the Government of Nepal regarding electrical governance.

Similarly, an electrical system should be understood as a group of electronic devices or devices related to each other.

The term also refers to more than one device, the automatic processing of electronic data or signals, and any permanent, temporary, or another type of electronic storage medium.

After the decision of the Commission by the Council of Ministers, the Government of Nepal issued a notice on the Electronic Governance Commission  Order, 2079 through the Gazette on 16th Bhadra.

The Commission is chaired by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Communication and Information Technology Co-Chairman, the Chief Secretary Member, the Secretary Member of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, the Secretary Member of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, and 2 members including 1 woman appointed by the Government of Nepal.
