Nepal Engineering College (NEC) recently concluded the Asian Paints Kaleidoscope 2024, a prestigious design competition organized by the college’s Architecture Department.
Bipashna Kansakar Wins Top Prize
The competition, which showcased the creative talents of the 18th batch of Architecture students, concluded with Bipashna Kansakar emerging as the grand winner.
Kansakar secured a cash prize of NPR 50,000, along with a trophy and certificate. Sagun Koirala and Shrutika Shakya were named first and second runners-up, respectively.
The month-long competition challenged students to design innovative and creative projects. A panel of judges carefully evaluated the submissions and selected the top entries based on their originality, technical proficiency, and aesthetic appeal.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Associate Professor Anil Regmi emphasized the importance of such competitions in providing students with a platform to showcase their skills. He also highlighted the department’s commitment to fostering a fair and transparent environment for all participants.
Shrima Sharma, Head of Administration, congratulated the winners and reaffirmed the college’s support for student development. Bishnu Prasad Bhandari, Secretary of the Student Welfare Division, encouraged students to actively participate in such events as they contribute to their overall growth.
The top five winners from Kaleidoscope 2024 will now advance to an inter-college competition, providing them with an opportunity to compete against students from other institutions.
