Biratnagar Kings Announces ‘Dream to Play’ Cricket Tournament for Emerging Players

Biratnagar Kings, in collaboration with the Koshi Province Cricket Association, has announced the “Dream to Play Tournament”, a cricket competition designed to provide a platform for emerging players to showcase their talent and begin their journey toward professional cricket.

Under-23 teams from five districts of Koshi Province, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Udaypur, and Ilam, will participate in the tournament, which will be played in the T20 format.
The event is scheduled to take place from October 11 to October 16 (25th to 30th Ashoj) at the Mechi Multiple Campus Ground in Jhapa. According to the organizers, two matches will be played each day throughout the competition.
According to Dipendra Chaudhary, Director of Biratnagar Kings, the main objective of this tournament is to provide young players with the opportunity to display their cricketing skills and create a pathway toward a professional sports career.
The top-performing players from the tournament will be selected for the Biratnagar Kings Development Squad.
Players chosen for the development squad will receive opportunities for practice sessions, skill enhancement, and professional training with the Kings team. Among them, one outstanding player will earn a special opportunity to join the main squad of Biratnagar Kings in the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL).
With Nepal’s national cricket team achieving remarkable success in recent ICC tournaments, interest and enthusiasm for cricket have been growing rapidly across the nation.
Biratnagar Kings, featuring national cricket star Sandeep Lamichhane as its marquee player, reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sportsmanship across Nepal.
