A Direct Pathway to Professional Cricket
The significance of the ‘Dream to Play’ tournament extends far beyond the district trophy.
It serves as a crucial platform for the development of Nepali Cricket talent, directly linking grassroots performance to the highest level of domestic franchise cricket.
Organizers confirmed that the top-performing players from the tournament will be inducted into the Biratnagar Kings Development Squad.
This selection offers these young cricketers a “golden ticket” to train with the main Kings squad, benefit from professional coaching, and gain invaluable exposure alongside experienced national and international players.
Crucially, one standout player from this Development Squad will earn a coveted place in the Biratnagar Kings’ main squad for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL).
This commitment by the Biratnagar Kings franchise highlights a strong dedication to nurturing local talent and strengthening the cricketing ecosystem in Koshi Province.
This mechanism ensures that raw talent identified at the regional level has a clear, performance-based pathway to professional excellence.
