The British College (TBC) is proud to announce its official recognition as a member of the Greening Education Partnership, a global initiative under the guiding framework of UNESCO’s Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
British College Nepal’s First Member
This partnership supports countries in addressing the climate crisis through education, aiming to bring about the personal and societal transformation necessary to change course.
This prestigious accolade has been awarded to TBC in recognition of its exemplary work on the BBA: Innovate for Impact (IFI) project, which underscores the institution’s unwavering commitment to green education and sustainability.
The recognition follows a rigorous evaluation process in which TBC’s efforts in promoting green education were meticulously reviewed and found to meet the standards. This achievement is of immense significance for TBC, as it becomes the only educational institution in Nepal to receive this honour, setting it apart as a leader in green education.
With this recognition, TBC gains access to UNESCO’s extensive resources, including knowledge bases, event participation, and mentorship opportunities. Furthermore, the College will have the opportunity to expand its network and foster connections with other United Nations agencies.
Sunita Basnet, Head of the Sustainability Unit and the BBA: Innovate for Impact project, expressed her gratitude, saying, “This achievement is a testament to our collaborative approach as a school. The entire institution shares a common vision of sustainability and green education, and together, we will celebrate this significant milestone as we further cement our role in promoting sustainability.”
This recognition marks a new chapter for The British College, positioning it at the forefront of sustainable education and inspiring other institutions to follow suit.
