The most popular Chinese car company, BYD (Build Your Dreams), has launched the most popular model, the BYD Atto 3, in Nepal in 2024. This car is marketed as the first electric SUV with sporty looks.

This model is the favourite and best-selling electric car in Nepal. It prioritizes performance, features, extended range, and safety and is built on the BYD e-platform 3.0.

This model is available in 2 variants, Advanced and Superior. There are not so many differences between them. Although they share the same specifications, features, safety measures, and motors, except for battery power and range,.

Both variants are packed with 100kWh motor with 49.92kWh and 60.48kWh LPF Blade Battery. The only difference is the battery packs and their range. Otherwise, every feature, styling, and performance are the same. The choice, without any compromise in its features or safety, has make Atto 3 a valuable electric car in 2024.

“Both variants have 15kW motor with a battery difference only. Whereas both support DC fast charging.”

PMSM motor generates a maximum power of 135 PS and a maximum torque of 310 NM.  While the advanced variant can charge in 7.5 hours with 7kWh and gives a range of 345 km, the Superior variant is charged in 9.1 hours with 7kWh and gives a range of 420 km.

“However, the Superior variant is an expensive one but still gets an extended battery capacity, while the Advanced variant gets the Standard capacity.

When BYD introduced its much-anticipated electric SUV, the BYD Atto 3, to Nepal in 2024, it immediately became one of the best-selling electric cars in the nation. The Atto 3 comes in two versions: Advanced and Superior. Both have a powerful 150 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) and are similar in terms of safety features and aesthetic design.

If you want the same features as BYD Atto 3 at a low price, then the Advanced variant will be a good option for you.

The main difference is in the battery packs; the Advanced variant has a 49.92 kWh battery that has a range of 345 km, while the Superior variant has a 60.48 kWh battery that has a range of 420 km. Additional features like Adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, and a 360-degree camera system are among the modern amenities that make the Atto 3 appealing.
