Kathmandu University has taken a significant step toward sustainability and innovation with the inauguration BYD charging station on its Dhulikhel campus.
BYD Charging Station Inaugurated
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Vice Chancellor of KU, and Mr. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific auto sales division.
The event marked a milestone in the collaboration between KU and BYD, a global leader in electric vehicles and renewable energy solutions, furthering KU’s commitment to green technology and fostering environmentally conscious practices.
The program was organized by Academia Industry Cooperation, Office of the Vice Chancellor Kathmandu University.
During the program, Mr. Liu Xueliang delivered a guest lecture, highlighting the importance of electric mobility and the role of BYD in revolutionizing the automotive industry.
He emphasized the significance of partnerships between educational institutions and industry leaders, such as BYD’s collaboration with Kathmandu University, to advance research and innovation in clean energy technologies.
His insights provided students and faculty with a deep understanding of the growing global demand for electric vehicles and the critical role universities can play in driving sustainable development.
The partnership between KU and BYD opens up exciting opportunities for students, particularly in the areas of internships and job placements.
