The HMC Nepal Hiksemi Can Infotech 2025, Nepal’s largest annual ICT exhibition, has concluded with great success. Held from 6 February to 10 at Bhirkutimandap in Kathmandu, the 30th edition of the event was organized by the Computer Association of Nepal (CAN Federation).

Inauguration and Key Participation
The exhibition aimed to unite innovators, startups, and tech enthusiasts on a single platform. Prithvi Shubba Gurung, the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, inaugurated the event. The exhibition saw significant participation from government officials, business leaders, policymakers, students, and tech enthusiasts. Organizers stated that the event has contributed to accelerating the progress of Digital Nepal.
Notable Visitors and Technology Displays
On the final day, former ministers like Parbat Gurung and Dr. Prakash Chandra Lohani, along with Deputy Mayor Sunita Dangol and popular blogger Shishan Baniya, visited the exhibition.
The event featured global ICT brands, telecommunications services, fintech, cybersecurity solutions, blockchain technology, AI innovations, and digital literacy initiatives. The exhibition particularly highlighted the innovations of Nepali startups, showcasing local software, applications, and domestically developed technologies.
AI and Machine Learning Projects Take Center Stage
Exhibits focused on cutting-edge projects like AI tools powered by machine learning, local software, and even self-driving car technologies. Visitors showed great interest in these technologies, while experts highlighted the importance of expanding Nepal’s AI expertise on the global stage.

Focus on ICT Growth
Sunaina Ghimire Pandey, President of the CAN Federation, reaffirmed her commitment to working with the government to promote the development of Nepal’s ICT sector. She mentioned that the federation is focusing on key areas like the Data Protection Act, ride-sharing policies, AI data management, and foreign investment law revisions.
Strong Attendance and Exclusive Offers
More than 200,000 visitors attended the event, where 155 stalls showcased the latest in technology and services. Visitors had the opportunity to interact with exhibitors, test new technologies, and enjoy promotional offers. On the final day, discounts of 30-70% were available on various products.
Future Plans and Growth
Chandra Vilas Bhurtel, General Secretary of CAN Federation, noted that this year’s edition has energized Nepal’s innovation and ICT sectors. The federation plans to focus on enhancing technology education, boosting digital literacy, and pushing for policy reforms to make future editions even more impactful. The success of this edition marks a significant milestone in Nepal’s digital journey.
