Carlsberg Acquires 33% Stake in CSAAPL

The acquisition involved Carlsberg purchasing a 33.33% stake in CSAAPL (Singapore) Holdings PTE Ltd. from prominent Nepali businessman CP Khetan. This deal, valued at a substantial NPR 100 billion, underscores the growing importance of Nepal as a strategic market for international companies.
Full Control of Gorkha Brewery

The road to this acquisition was paved by a legal dispute between Carlsberg and Khetan. The matter was resolved through arbitration in Singapore, with the tribunal ruling in favor of Carlsberg. This decision granted Carlsberg the right to acquire Khetan’s stake in CSAAPL.
