Chelsea Int’l Academy and Insight Vision Crowned Champions at 6th British Cup 2025

The British College successfully hosted the 6th British Cup 2025 Inter College Futsal Tournament from 25th to 29th August at the Dhuku Sports Hub, Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

This year’s tournament witnessed outstanding participation, with 20 colleges competing in the Bachelor’s Category and 17 colleges in the High School Category. Over five days, the event showcased thrilling matches, competitive spirit, and remarkable sportsmanship among some of the most prestigious academic institutions in Kathmandu.
In the High School Category, Chelsea International Academy emerged as the champions, securing a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, while DAV College finished as runners-up and received Rs. 50,000. Individual awards went to:MVP: Bimarsh Bam Thakuri (Chelsea Academy), Best Goalkeeper: Yashraj Sah (Chelsea Academy), Top Goal Scorer: Rijan Maharjan – 11 Goals (AVM), and the Fair Play Award goes to Rombus Secondary School. Each winner in the individual categories was awarded Rs. 5,000.
In the Bachelor’s Category, Insight Vision claimed the championship title and received Rs. 1,00,000, defeating NATHM in the final, who secured the runner-up position and Rs. 50,000. The standout performers included: Best Player: Rabin Chaulagain (Insight Vision), Best Goalkeeper: Sujan Baram (Insight Vision), Highest Goal Scorer: Bibidh Bista (NATHM), and the Fair Play award goes to Little Angels College. Winners of these individual categories were awarded Rs. 10,000 each.
Overall, the event was a great success, and it was all made possible through the event partners – which included Empire Education and Visa Services (Title Sponsor), The Godavari Village Resort (Hospitality Partner), Babu Adventure (Adventure Partner), Honor (Smartphone Partner) Hilife (Nutrition Partner) and QFX (Entertainment Partner) – along with Supporting Partner- Inside Sports.’.
Rajen Kandel, Founder/CEO of The British College, attended the final and said of the result, “We are very proud of all of our students who organized it, volunteered at the event, and came along to support their friends. It was a great reflection of everything we stand for here at TBC”.
He also thanked all the College teams for participating and keeping everyone entertained throughout the tournament. He also gave a special thanks to Sudip Bhattarai, ECA Coordinator, for organizing the tournament so successfully and added, “We look forward to coming back next year bigger and better than ever and will invite colleges outside the valley to participate, and are already preparing for the 7th British Cup in 2026”.
