ChildSafeNet, an organization dedicated to making the internet safer for children and young people, is proud to announce the successful completion of its five-year journey.

Since its unofficial inception on 20th November 2017 and official registration on 13th June 2018, ChildSafeNet has worked tirelessly to create a safer online environment for the most vulnerable members of society.

ChildSafeNet extends its heartfelt gratitude to its dedicated team members, both past and present, as well as its supporters, partners, well-wishers, friends, and social media followers.

Their unwavering support and contributions have been instrumental in helping ChildSafeNet fulfill its mission of ensuring the online safety of children and young people.

Throughout its five-year journey, ChildSafeNet has achieved significant milestones. The organization has conducted five research studies, providing crucial insights into the challenges and opportunities of online safety.

Additionally, they have conducted online safety training sessions in over 30 districts, empowering individuals and communities with the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital world safely.

ChildSafeNet’s impact is further evident through the production of more than 50 videos and 1,000 social media content pieces, which have served as educational resources to raise awareness about online safety. The organization has also played an integral role in initiating and curating Safer Internet Day events, fostering a culture of responsible Internet use and digital citizenship.

Collaboration with children and young people has been a cornerstone of ChildSafeNet’s approach. By actively involving them in their programs and initiatives, the organization has ensured that their voices are heard and their needs are addressed effectively. Furthermore, ChildSafeNet has engaged with duty-bearers, including federal and local governments, Nepal Police, tech companies, schools, parents, and service providers, advocating for stronger measures and policies to protect children and young people in the online space.

ChildSafeNet’s dedication and impact have been recognized globally, as the organization has become a member of esteemed networks and alliances such as ECPAT International, WePROTECT Global Alliance, Global Partnership to End Violence Against Children, and the Stop.Think.Connect campaign.

These partnerships have further strengthened ChildSafeNet’s capacity to address the multifaceted challenges of online safety.

While celebrating its 5th anniversary, ChildSafeNet acknowledges that there is still much work to be done to ensure the continued safety of children and young people in the digital realm. With the ongoing support and collaboration of its stakeholders, ChildSafeNet remains committed to its mission and vows to expand its efforts in creating a safer and more secure online environment for all.
