Citizens Bank Dhangadhi Tree Plantation: World Environment Day 2025 CSR

Embracing the core theme of “Beat the Plastic,” Citizens Bank has organized a large-scale tree plantation program under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The event was aimed at mitigating the adverse effects of increasing climate change through the conservation and promotion of trees and vegetation. The plantation drive was successfully conducted on Thursday, Jestha 29, 2082 (12 June, 2025) in Dhangadhi, located in the Sudurpashchim Province of Nepal.
This extensive tree plantation campaign was organized on the occasion of World Environment Day 2025. The program took place at the office premises of Ward No. 3 in Dhangadhi, where more than 100 saplings of various species were planted. The initiative reflected the bank’s ongoing commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
Citizens Bank has previously conducted a variety of CSR initiatives, including the operation of health camps across different regions of the country. The bank has also extended support to community schools as well as religious institutions such as temples and monasteries.

These include the ability to apply for stock shares and request CRN (Customer Reference Number) services directly through the app. Additionally, the bank has implemented a unique Cross-Bank Teller Service, allowing customers from other banks to scan a teller QR code at Citizens Bank branches and receive cash—enhancing interbank convenience and service integration.
