Citizens Bank Nepal Anniversary Offers
The bank is promoting cashless transactions by offering cashback, discounts, and free digital services.
Digital banking remains a top priority for Citizens Bank. With this campaign, the bank aims to encourage more customers to use mobile banking, debit cards, QR payments, and virtual credit cards.
Cashback for Digital Transactions
Customers can get cashback on various digital services. Debit card users will receive 18% cashback on their first transaction of NPR 1,000 or more. This applies to payments made via POS machines or online platforms. The cashback is capped at NPR 180.
Mobile banking users will also benefit. When they scan a QR code and make a payment of NPR 500 or more, they will receive 18% cashback. This reward is also limited to NPR 180.
Fonepay merchants are not left out. Every day, one merchant who receives payments through QR will win a cashback of up to NPR 1,800. This daily prize will continue throughout the campaign period.
Free Services and First-Time User Benefits
Citizens Bank is offering more than just cashback. First-time top-ups using E-comm cards will not be charged any service fees. Customers opening a Demat account during this period can do so for free.
New Smart Savings Account holders will enjoy a mobile recharge offer. On their first recharge via the mobile banking app, they will receive 15% cashback, up to NPR 50.
The bank is also running a unique reward program. One mobile banking user will win a free mountain flight ticket. This offer adds excitement to the campaign and promotes mobile banking adoption.
In addition, the bank has introduced a discount on virtual credit card services. Customers who apply for a virtual credit card during Baisakh will get 50% off on the first-year issuance fee.
Focus on Digital Innovation
Citizens Bank has introduced several digital-first services in recent months. It was the first bank in Nepal to launch the “Citizens Fonepay Credit Card.” This is a virtual credit card introduced in collaboration with Fonepay.
The bank is also improving capital market access. It now allows customers to apply for IPO shares and receive CRN numbers directly through the mobile banking app. These features reduce the need for physical visits and streamline the process.
Serving Customers Nationwide
Citizens Bank continues to expand its presence across Nepal. It currently operates in 61 districts. The bank has 200 branches, 168 ATMs, 3 extended counters, and 74 branchless banking units. In total, it serves more than 1.85 million customers.
The bank recently earned the prestigious title of “Bank of the Year 2024”. This international recognition reflects its commitment to innovation, digital growth, and customer service.
Aiming for a Cashless Future
With these digital offers, Citizens Bank hopes to strengthen the habit of cashless transactions among Nepali consumers. The bank believes digital banking is the future and is working to make it more accessible, secure, and rewarding.
By combining advanced technology with user-friendly features, Citizens Bank continues to lead Nepal’s shift toward a modern, digital banking system.
