Citizens Bank International Limited has been providing reliable and affordable banking services for the past 18 years. As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), the bank donated NPR 200,000 to Baby Life Home, an organization that cares for HIV-infected children. The financial support was handed over to Baby Life Home’s director, Raj Kumar Pun, in a special ceremony.

Baby Life Home has been offering shelter, healthcare, education, and recreational activities to HIV-infected children for nearly 15 years. The organization currently cares for 27 children, most of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds.

Due to limited resources, running the organization has been challenging. This donation aims to support the children’s daily needs, including food, medical treatment, and education. Director Pun expressed gratitude and assured that the funds would be used effectively for the children’s welfare.

The donation marks the bank’s 18th anniversary, which will be celebrated on 20 April. Every year, Citizens Bank donates to social organizations as part of its annual CSR activities. This initiative reflects its commitment to bringing positive change in various sectors, including social, economic, cultural, and educational fields. The bank plans to continue such contributions in the future.

Recently, Citizens Bank achieved global recognition by winning the prestigious “Bank of the Year 2024” award. Additionally, it introduced Nepal’s first “Citizens PhonePay Credit Card”, a virtual credit card, in partnership with PhonePay. Another major innovation includes allowing customers to apply for shares and obtain CRN numbers directly through its mobile banking app.

Currently, Citizens Bank serves 1.85 million customers across Nepal. It operates 200 branches in 61 districts, along with 168 ATMs, 3 extension counters, and 74 branchless banking units. Through these services, the bank continues to enhance accessibility and efficiency in the financial sector.
