With the launch in 2016, Coolpad had been launching some mid-range phones in the market. But 2018 was the last time we saw a Coolpad phone in Nepal. Now, after two years, Coolpad is back in the market with its new Coolpad Cool 6. The Coolpad Cool 6 has been brought to Nepal with the new Coolpad distributor, SD International Pvt Ltd. So, Now let’s straight-up dive into talking about the overview, specifications, and price of Coolpad Cool 6 in Nepal.

Coolpad Cool 6 Overview

Design and Display

The Coolpad Cool 6 features a 6.53 inch IPS LCD screen. You don’t get an Amoled LED panel rather an IPS, which makes sense for the price you pay. The screen also comes with an FHD+ display of 1080×2340 pixels. Coolpad Cool 5 had a notch display, whereas, with Coopad Cool 5, you get a full display with a pop-up camera.

You will see a triple camera setup on the side and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner in the back. The back panel rocks a gradient design for both options available for the phone: Blue and Silver.

Performance

Coolpad Cool 6 is fueled by a Mediatek MT6771T Helio P70 chipset complemented by 6GB RAM. The Helio P70 is an octa-core chipset with four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.0Ghz. Although Helio P70 is a decent chipset, Coolpad could have got another better performing mid-range chipset like the Helio G70 we saw in Infinix Note 7 from the same price range.

The phone comes with 128GB of storage that is ideal for a phone this price. In addition, you can also expand the storage upto 256GB with a dedicated micro-SD card. The 6 GB of RAM, in combination with the P70, will get you easily through all the multi-tasking and some light gaming. However, you won’t be able to play graphic intensive or highly demanding games with the chipset.

The phone runs on the brand’s own UI topped with Android 10 out of the box.

Camera

You will get a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48 MP primary camera and two cameras with depth and macro lens of 2MP. The primary camera is decent, but an extra ultra-wide sensor on the back would have made it even better.

The front camera is a motorised pop-up camera with a 21 MP sensor. It can shot upto 1080p at 30fps, which is the same as the rear camera. In addition, it will also feature a night mode. To sum up, the front camera is excellent for the price you pay, but Coolpad could have done better with the rear camera.

Battery

The CoolPad Cool 6 comes with a 4000mAh non-removable battery. Meanwhile, the company claims the phone to give an endurance of 12hrs battery with Youtube and Internet usage and upto two days of battery life with “normal usage.”

The presence of AI Smart power management helps to give the phone high endurance with the battery.
