Rally Aimed to Inspire
The main goal of the rally was to inspire women. It encouraged them to break stereotypes and take pride in their abilities. The organizers wanted to show that women can lead in all fields, including the male-dominated world of biking.
Launch Event Highlighted Courage
The rally kicked off with an opening ceremony in Kathmandu. It featured special guests who have made significant contributions to society and the automobile sector.
Kamala Shrestha, Nepal’s first female scooter rider, addressed the crowd. She praised the courage of the participants. “By riding bikes, these women are showing the world their inner strength and leadership,” she said.
Other guests included Karan Chaudhary, President of the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), and Krishna Prasad Dulal, former NADA President. Meghraj Paudyal, Director of Royal Enfield Nepal, and Sangita Khatri, President of Corporate News Online, were also present.
Guests Emphasized Progress
In his speech, Karan Chaudhary noted a positive change in the auto industry. “More women are entering the automobile field. Events like this encourage them even more,” he said.
Former NADA President Krishna Prasad Dulal agreed. He pointed out that women riders are helping change traditional views about gender roles.
Meghraj Paudyal expressed pride in Royal Enfield’s involvement. “Seeing these women ride with such confidence is inspiring,” he shared. He also pledged continued support for similar events.
Rally Route: Kathmandu to Nagarkot
The rally started from Kathmandu and headed toward Nagarkot, a popular hill station. The journey combined adventure, purpose, and safety. Organizers arranged ambulance support and medical help to ensure a safe experience.
Participants rode through city roads and scenic routes. Along the way, they attracted attention and cheers from the public. The rally created a buzz and promoted the theme of women’s empowerment in action.
Warm Welcome in Nagarkot
Once the riders reached Nagarkot, they received a grand welcome. Roshni Dhowanj, President of the Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, greeted them. She appreciated the riders’ dedication and bravery.
“Women are now leading in every sector,” she said. “This journey proves it. It gives a strong message to society that women can achieve anything.”
The riders took a short break at Nagarkot, where they shared stories and bonded over their experiences. Many said it was their first long ride and that the journey boosted their confidence.
Closing Ceremony and Recognition
The rally ended with a closing ceremony. Organizer Sangita Khatri thanked everyone for their support. She acknowledged the effort of each participant and promised more events in the future.
“All of you made this rally successful. Your courage speaks louder than words,” she said. “We will continue creating such platforms for women to rise and shine.”
Each rider received a token of love and a certificate of appreciation. These small gestures recognized their bravery and participation.
