CSRI Elects New Central Secretaries at 7th AGM and 3rd Convention to Strengthen Cybersecurity Across Nepal

The Centre for Cyber Security Research and Innovation (CSRI) successfully concluded its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and 3rd Convention, marking a significant milestone in Nepal’s ongoing efforts to enhance its national cybersecurity landscape.

During the event, five outstanding professionals were elected as Central Secretaries and honored with the Certificate of Appreciation for their remarkable contributions to cybersecurity awareness, education, and research.
Newly Elected Central Secretaries of CSRI
The newly appointed Central Secretaries include:
Ms. Bandana Sharma – Winner of the National ICT Excellence Award 2024, she has been actively involved in cybersecurity awareness campaigns targeting community schools across Nepal. Her leadership continues to inspire the next generation of digital citizens.
Mr. Suman Panday – A cybersecurity advocate from Lumbini Province, he has played a key role in organizing ICT-related activities and promoting digital literacy through CSRI initiatives in the region.
Mr. Shankar Poudel – A renowned cyber law practitioner from Gandaki Province, Mr. Poudel has championed cyber law awareness campaigns for the past three years, working closely with CSRI to educate the public about digital rights and responsibilities.
Mr. Ram Datt Pant – A telecom expert from Sudurpashchim Province, he has led impactful cybersecurity outreach initiatives and awareness programs throughout the region.
Mr. Nabaraj Bhurtel – Former Chair of CSRI in Bagmati Province, he has been a key figure in running cybersecurity education programs in both public and private schools across the province.
Together, these leaders represent a broad national commitment to building a safe and secure digital Nepal.
