Cyber Security Awareness Campaign For Nepalese Community

48th Cyber Security Training to the Nepali community at Annandale VA USA for the first time. Washington DC, November 27, 2016 – Initially, Concept of Cyber Security Awareness in Nepal has been revealed by Prof. Dr. Ramhari Subedi, who lives in Washington DC; also, he is the founder president of www.dcnepal.com and the first appointed Cyber Security Advisor of Central Investigation Department of Nepal Police. Now Dr. Subedi, the CEO of Cyber Security International, is launching cybersecurity awareness campaign nation-wide; firstly, from Kathmandu, Jhapa, Chitwan and soon moved to Washington DC Metropolitan area.

On November 27, the CSI’s awareness generating program cum basic level training program has been conducted at Annandale, VA USA. Around 30 members from the Nepali community were present.

The program has been conducted by Dr. Ramhari Subedi. At first, Dr. Subedi smoothly handled the program with both the first and second level including awareness generating about the cyber-crime and the security methods in the computer, mobile, Gmail, Facebook, and ATM use. Also, he taught him how to deal with spam and phishing e-mail messages.

Ultimately, the trainees were congratulated with CSI’s Basic Certificate for recognition. The program ran for 4 hours, i.e., from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The trainees have given positive feedback after the completion of the training — raga and Namaste Nepali restaurants sponsored foods for the program.
