The Biggest Online Sale Day in Nepal Breaks All Records

Daraz, Nepal’s biggest online marketplace, has successfully completed its much-awaited 11.11 campaign with an overwhelming response and record-breaking numbers. The celebration officially entered Nepal for the first time with the acquisition of Daraz by Alibaba in 2018. This year, the popular online shopping platform sold over 1.5 Lakh products during the sale out of which 40% have already been dispatched from sellers.

Daraz saw orders from across the country covering more than 24 cities. During 11.11, Daraz registered more than 3.5 Lakh users, an increase of 75% compared to 2018. Also, the Daraz website had a mammoth 52,33,344 page views during the sale.

This years’ 11.11 hosted more than 3000 sellers with more than 50,000 customers. Amongst the top participating sellers were top Nepali and international such as Xiaomi, Samsung, LG, Adidas, Titan, TVS, Sonam Gears, J.Fisher, and many more. More records were broken with the first order placed within 1 second of the campaign start and a record-breaking 8000 orders in one single hour.
