Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has been honored by the Indonesian government with the prestigious “Caraka Bhuwana Award.” This recognition highlights Dhakal’s significant contributions to strengthening bilateral relations between Nepal and Indonesia.
Dhakal Receives Indonesian Award Contributions
As the Honorary Consul of Indonesia in Nepal, Dhakal has been instrumental in fostering closer ties between the two nations. His efforts have been focused on promoting tourism, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Nepal, Heru H. Subolo, presented the award to Dhakal, acknowledging his role in enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural collaboration.
Dhakal expressed gratitude for the honor and reaffirmed his commitment to further strengthening the Nepal-Indonesia partnership. He highlighted recent advancements in bilateral relations, such as the visa-free travel agreement for government officials, and called for the resumption of visa-on-arrival for Nepali tourists to Indonesia.
Dhakal played a key role in Nepal’s 2015 earthquake relief efforts, showing his commitment to Nepal-Indonesia relations. As Indonesia’s honorary consul since 2010, he’s worked hard to strengthen ties between the two countries.
This award is a major step forward in the growing partnership between Nepal and Indonesia, opening doors for future cooperation.
