Fourth Digital Nepal Conclave Kicks Off, Pushing for Digital Transformation

The fourth edition of the ‘Digital Nepal Conclave 2025,’ organized by the ICT Foundation Nepal, is officially underway, with a strong focus on building a robust digital ecosystem and driving national transformation.
Digital Nepal Conclave Begins
The event, held in association with Tingting and powered by Raindrop, was inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli using a digital platform to light a ceremonial lamp.
The conclave has drawn a significant crowd of over 500 high-ranking officials and leaders from both the government and private sectors.
Dignitaries present include Minister of Communication and Information Technology Prithvi Subba Gurung, Nepal Telecommunications Authority Chairman Bhupendra Bhandari, NAST Vice-Chancellor Dilip Subba, Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, and FNCCI Senior Vice President Anjan Shrestha.
Rajan Lamsal, President of the ICT Foundation, emphasized in his welcome address the organization’s commitment to fostering a strong digital ecosystem. He urged the government to complement the private sector’s efforts with crucial policy reforms and improved action plans to accelerate the nation’s digital journey.
In a “Power Dialogue” session, Prime Minister Oli underscored the need for Nepal to transition from being a consumer of technology to a creator. “We should not only be a country that takes technology but also one that gives it,” he stated, promising government support and encouragement for the rapid development of the ICT sector.
The event, taking place at The Plaza in Pulchowk, Lalitpur, is set to feature over eight sessions covering a wide array of topics, including digital governance, digital public infrastructure, digital health, and the digital economy. The sessions will delve into the challenges and opportunities for digital transformation in Nepal.
The conclave also highlights international collaboration, with a significant presence from global tech giant Google, which is expected to launch its Google Street View service for Nepal during the event. Furthermore, the program provides a platform for innovation, featuring research paper presentations and a showcase of over 15 new digital initiatives and products.
The ‘Digital Nepal Conclave’ is a collaborative effort supported by numerous government and private organizations, including the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Nepal Telecom, Ncell, Siddhartha Bank, and eSewa, among others.
As a meaningful initiative for digital transformation, the event aims to facilitate discussions and provide a supportive role in the implementation of a Digital Nepal.
