The Government of Nepal, under the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCIT), has unveiled the draft of Digital Nepal Framework 2.0 (DNF 2.0).

This updated framework builds upon the success of DNF 1.0 and aims to accelerate Nepal’s digital transformation by focusing on four key enablers:
Future-Ready Digital Foundations
Access to Digital Services
Skills and Digital Literacy
Transformation of the Digital Economy
The government is now inviting valuable feedback and suggestions from stakeholders, experts, and the public to refine the framework before its final implementation.
Key Highlights of Digital Nepal Framework 2.0
1. Strengthening Digital Infrastructure
DNF 2.0 emphasizes building high-speed internet connectivity, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital identity systems to ensure a resilient digital ecosystem.
2. Expanding Digital Service Access
The framework aims to make government services, healthcare, education, and financial services more accessible through digital platforms, reducing the digital divide in urban and rural areas.
3. Enhancing Digital Skills & Literacy
To prepare Nepal’s workforce for the digital age, DNF 2.0 focuses on upskilling programs, coding education, and digital entrepreneurship initiatives.
4. Boosting the Digital Economy
By promoting e-commerce, fintech, agri-tech, and IT startups, the framework seeks to drive innovation, job creation, and economic growth.
