Tell us about yourself!

I would like to introduce myself as a young IT enthusiast working as a technical person for digital signature at Nepal Certifying Company,

which works for information security in Nepal.

Why did you choose Orchid College?

The teaching methodology inspired me from being a part of Orchid Int`l College.

Why did you choose BSc? CSIT Course?

I was engaged in different IT organizations since my Intermediate Level. I worked as a volunteer, coordinator and program conductor in various events organized by CAN, ITS Nepal, and CSITan (later). Besides, I was interested in Technology and looking for a course that would help me to grow as an IT Expert in future.  The course coverage and demand in IT Industry led me to join BSc.CSIT.

How many hours do you learn a day on average?

I spend almost all of my active time with my Computer, and mostly I browse different things to learn new things.  Learning is like a passion for me. Every new update means a new tab for my browser.

What is your Goal? Programmer! Designer! IT Manager! IT Entrepreneur

I would prefer being an IT Manager as at that age of time; I would be possessed with all the technical aspects as well as managerial stuff.  Thus, management is my future goal.

What are your hobbies? What makes you happy?

As an IT enthusiast and a start-up in information security, I like to keep myself updated on types of potential threats and their defense mechanism.  Thus, any new thing I discovered about these makes me happy, and I eagerly test it and deploy it.

How do you generate new ideas?

The most important thing is the concept. When you do anything but lack its basic concepts you be like a parrot, you do what you were taught. To get new ideas, you should primarily have an idea of what you are doing, and the rest depends upon your effort on doing anything. The more you fail, the more you learn.

Can you describe your best IT Teacher?

My interest is about Modern Cryptography. Thus I always remember my Cryptography teacher Mr.  Thaneswor Paneru for his bright ideas upon the origin of cryptography.

Digital Signatures- Why and How?

How would it feel to be like having smartphones, smart cars, smart houses and everything bright but still you sign on the paper or trust upon the thumbprint ?
Technology is changing, and so is the essence of security upon the technology. Nobody can predict the disaster you are going to face sooner or later. The first approach in Information Security is proactive, being preventive.
Thus, I recommend a digital signature which is an assurance for your information`s security, authenticity and integrity.
