DoIT Nepal IT Scholarship 2081: Apply for NPR 50,000 Grant for Nepali IT Students

The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) has launched a scholarship program for students pursuing IT-related courses. The initiative supports learners at various academic levels across Nepali universities and affiliated institutions.

Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open to students currently studying Information Technology at the following levels:
Bachelor’s (Undergraduate)
Master’s (Graduate)
M.Phil.
Ph.D.
Applicants must be enrolled in a Nepali university or its affiliated or constituent college. They must be citizens of Nepal.
What’s Being Offered?
DoIT will provide a one-time scholarship of NPR 50,000 to each selected student. The number of recipients will be based on a set quota defined by the department.
This financial support aligns with the Scholarship Procedure 2081, designed to encourage IT education and reduce financial barriers for promising students.

Application Requirements
To be considered, applicants must include the following verified (attested) documents:
Copy of Nepali citizenship certificate
Copies of academic transcripts and certificates, including SLC/SEE
If SEE/SLC was completed from a government or community school, a letter from the local authority confirming the school type
If applying based on financial need, a recommendation letter from the local authority proving economic hardship
