MAW Vriddhi has introduced the Dongfeng NAMI electric hatchback to the Nepalese automotive market, presenting a compelling new option for EV enthusiasts.

The NAMI is available in three trims: E-One, E-Two, and E-Three, each offering an impressive combination of affordability and high-end features. The pricing starts at NPR 2,999,000 for the E-One, NPR 3,199,000 for the E-Two, and NPR 3,499,000 for the E-Three, making it an attractive choice for those transitioning to electric vehicles.

The NAMI sets a new standard for hatchbacks in Nepal with its sophisticated design and advanced features. The interior boasts premium materials, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and memory-enabled seats. A standout feature is the 12.8-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, complemented by a wireless charging pad and a 5-inch information display. Drivers can also customize their cabin environment with 32 different ambient lighting colours.

Under the hood, the NAMI offers an efficient electric powertrain. The E-One and E-Two models are equipped with a 70 kW motor and a 31.4 kWh battery, providing a WLTP-certified range of up to 237 km, suitable for daily commutes. For those needing a longer range, the E-Three model features a 42.3 kWh battery with a range of up to 317 km, ideal for longer journeys.

Safety is a priority, with the NAMI earning a 5-star rating from the Chinese NCAP. Standard safety features across all trims include dual airbags, Vehicle Stability Assistance, ABS with EBD, Hill Start Assist, Electronic Stability Control, and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

The NAMI also offers three driving modes Normal, Eco, and Sport catering to various driving preferences. With its competitive pricing and advanced features, the Dongfeng NAMI is set to be a popular choice in Nepal’s growing electric vehicle market.
