Dr. Ramesh Paudel, TU Diplomacy Coordinator for MPhil-PhD Program

Tribhuvan University (TU) has appointed Dr. Ramesh Paudel as the new coordinator for its MPhil–PhD program in International Relations and Diplomacy. The Central Department of International Relations and Diplomacy (DIRD) entrusted him with the responsibility this week.

Dr. Paudel is an associate professor at TU and a former member of the National Planning Commission. He brings academic experience and national policy expertise to the role. His leadership is expected to enhance the quality of TU’s advanced research programs in international affairs.
Official Welcome by TU Vice-Chancellor
Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khadga KC formally welcomed Dr. Paudel at a program held on Thursday. The same event introduced the fourth batch of students enrolled in the MPhil–PhD program.
Dr. KC congratulated Dr. Paudel and praised his commitment to research and teaching. He said the university is proud to have leaders like Dr. Paudel who understand both academic and policy environments.
New Student Orientation Program Held
Alongside the coordinator’s welcome, the department organized an orientation program for the newly admitted students. The fourth batch of MPhil–PhD students joined the academic session this week.

Dr. Apekshya Shah, the Head of the Department, also welcomed Dr. Paudel into his new role. She introduced the department’s academic offerings and shared key information with the students.
