DTB and Network International Partner to Accelerate Digital Payment Transformation in Kenya

Diamond Trust Bank (DTB), a tier-one bank listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), has announced a strategic partnership with Network International (Network), the leading enabler of digital commerce across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

This collaboration aims to enhance DTB’s digital payment capabilities by providing a robust processing platform for hosting and issuing cards.

DTB, which has been operating in East Africa for over 75 years with more than 155 branches across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi, will benefit from Network’s advanced digital payment solutions, robust security protocols, and a sophisticated API gateway. This partnership aligns with DTB’s digital-first strategy in the Kenyan market, driven by the increasing internet penetration and mobile phone usage in the country.

Key Highlights of the Partnership:

  • Advanced Digital Payment Solutions: Network will offer a variety of payment products and services, including debit, credit, and prepaid card hosting and processing, as well as e-Commerce.
  • Enhanced Security: The partnership will provide value-added services such as card fraud prevention, 3D Secure authentication, and card control solutions.
  • Customer Delight: Jamie Loden, Chief Operating Officer at DTB, emphasized the importance of customer satisfaction, noting that the collaboration will help meet the growing demand for new and superior card and digital banking experiences.
