Out of over 250 students who registered and participated in the first round, only 80 talented students advanced to Round 2 of the Nepal edition. These students were divided into three groups based on their coding proficiency: Block Coding Junior, Block Coding Senior, and Senior Python Group. Each participant was challenged to develop a theme-based program, showcasing their creativity, logic, and technical skills.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Rajib Pandey Subba, who praised the participants for their enthusiasm and technical abilities. In his remarks, Dr. Subba stated, “I am very excited to see our future coders and engineers already starting to build apps. Their passion and creativity are truly inspiring.”
The event also saw a remarkable turnout from parents, who were equally excited and proud to see their children participating in a national competition. Their support and encouragement added to the lively and motivational atmosphere of the event.
A total of 9 students have been selected to represent Nepal at the International competition, scheduled to be held on February 9, 2025. This achievement underscores Dursikshya’s commitment to nurturing young tech talent and providing a platform for students to showcase their potential on a global stage.
The Coding Competition is a collaborative effort to develop technical skills, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities among students from a young age. Through initiatives like these, Dursikshya continues to foster STEAM education in Nepal and shape the next generation of innovators, coders, and engineers.
