DWIT Job Fair 2026: Bridging the Talent Gap in Nepal’s IT Sector
14th March 2026, Kathmandu
In a significant move to connect academia with the tech industry, Deerwalk Institute of Technology (Deerwalk College) successfully hosted the DWIT Job Fair 2026 at its Sifal campus on Saturday.

The event brought together approximately 40 leading IT companies and over 2,000 students and graduates, creating a dynamic environment for recruitment and networking.
A Platform for Direct Industry Dialogue
The fair was designed to address the growing disconnect between skilled Nepalese graduates and tech companies. Hitesh Karki, Chairman of the Deerwalk Group and Campus Chief, emphasized that the platform serves as a vital bridge for the entire IT community.
“This program is not just for our students, but for the broader community,” Karki stated. “Many IT companies are searching for skilled manpower, but direct dialogue opportunities are rare. We built this platform so companies and students can interact in one place, helping students understand market demands and helping companies find qualified talent.”
Empowering the Next Generation of IT Professionals
Samjhana Pokhrel, VP of Academy at Deerwalk, highlighted the scale of the event, noting that the primary goal is to provide a necessary platform for both parties to meet their needs.
She observed that while companies struggle to find qualified graduates, students often remain unaware of specific industry requirements. This fair aims to solve both problems simultaneously.
Participants, including Ramesh Prasad Basyoula from Acme Engineering College, shared that the event allowed them to explore career paths that align specifically with their skills and interests.
