1st September 2025, Kathmandu
Ek Ek Paila, a non-profit organization, a group for volunteer-based health services, celebrated completing 10 years of work and contribution. To mark the milestone, an event was held on 30th August, 2025.
Ek Ek Paila 10 years
The program featured two main highlights: the launch of a “10-Year Souvenir Book” and the screening of a short documentary titled “हाम्रा पाइलाहरू”. Both the book and the documentary captured Ek Ek Paila’s journey, the people who participated, and the communities served.
In the past 10 years, the Ek Ek Paila Foundation had grown from a small health service campaign after the earthquake in 2015 into a well-known organization across Nepal. With the support of citizens, volunteer doctors, the Social Welfare Council, local governments, provincial health offices, security forces, and partner organizations, the foundation had conducted 34 free health camps and established health centers and hospitals.
Services included eye care, dental care, maternal health, orthopaedics, radiology, tuberculosis treatment, and general consultations. Even in times of crisis, such as during the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteers and supporters continued reaching disadvantaged communities and ensured that thousands of people received essential, and often life-saving, health care.
The 10th anniversary served as a moment to reflect on the journey so far and to look ahead at the work still to be done. The celebration brought together individuals and groups who had supported or witnessed the efforts of Ek Ek Paila over the years.
