The Hetauda-Kathmandu route now has 30 new electric Micro Vans. These vehicles will operate from Pathlaiya (Bara), Thori (Chitwan), and Hetauda (Makwanpur) to Kathmandu.

Shasheela Motors Hands Over Fleet

Shasheela Motors officially transferred the electric micro vans to Rastriya Swatantra Multipurpose Business Pvt. Ltd., a group of transport entrepreneurs. The handover ceremony took place in Pathlaiya.

Santosh Khatiwada, Managing Director of Shasheela Motors, highlighted the company’s focus on after-sales service. “We are committed to ensuring easy maintenance and support,” he said. He added that electric vehicles (EVs) are economical and environmentally friendly.

EVs: A Sustainable Business Choice

Rajendra Paudel, Mayor of Simara Sub-Metropolitan City, attended the event. He emphasized that EVs will play a key role in Nepal’s transport sector. “Electric vehicles will strengthen our energy system and promote cleaner transportation,” he stated.

He wished success to the entrepreneurs and encouraged more businesses to adopt EVs. “This shift is necessary for the country’s sustainable future,” he added.

The new fleet began operations immediately, providing commuters with a sustainable and cost-effective travel option. Transport entrepreneurs emphasized that they are committed to ensuring passenger comfort, timely service, and overall quality.
