In 2081 B.S., several manufacturers launched new models. Notable names include Leapmotor, Smart, GAC Aion, Xpeng, Karya, Zeekr, JKE, Deepal, Nami, Lumin, JMEV, Avatar, RIDDARA, and VAXXAS. Most of them focus on electric vehicles (EVs), signaling a global and local move toward cleaner mobility.
These companies chose Nepal as a target market due to rising interest in sustainable transportation. With their entry, customers now enjoy more variety and tech-forward options.
Two-Wheeler Market Grows
The bike segment also saw major activity. Brands like Ather, Revolt, Ultraviolette, Triumph, Jonssen, and Gogoro launched in Nepal last year. Some commercial vehicle companies also joined the market. This wave of arrivals marks the busiest year ever for Nepal’s auto industry.
Some of the newcomers are already gaining momentum. A few brands sold more than 800 units within a year. Others are still building visibility. Success depends on brand reputation, price, customer service, and product performance.
