To bridge the gap between business education and employment in Nepal, Embark College has announced two significant programs: the “Embark Apprenticeship Program” and the “Startup Capacity Building Program”.

Embark College Apprenticeship Program

These programs are designed to develop future business leaders, ensure employment, and promote entrepreneurship in Nepal.

According to Ashish Thakur, Executive Director and CEO of Embark College, these initiatives aim to eliminate the uncertainty graduates face when transitioning from academic to professional life.

He stated, “By directly linking business education with industry, we have established a new standard for career-ready graduates in Nepal.”

The apprenticeship program guarantees employment for qualified graduates through partnerships with leading and innovative industries and businesses in Nepal. Participating companies will offer job opportunities based on a structured Training Needs Assessment (TNA).

The program features a pre-placement structure, professional counseling, regular evaluations, and long-term partnership agreements, which provide industries with skilled manpower and students with reliable career guidance.

The Startup Capacity Building Program targets innovative businesses that have been legally registered for less than 10 years and have an annual turnover of less than 10 crore rupees. This program provides support to innovative businesses in line with the Government of Nepal’s National Startup Policy 2080 and the Industrial Enterprise Act 2076. Priority is given to startups that demonstrate innovation, scalability, and market impact.

Mr. Thakur noted, “The potential for entrepreneurship in Nepal is immense, but access to strategic resources is limited. Our program focuses on holistic capacity building to transform innovation into sustainable businesses”.

These two programs are expected to contribute to creating a strong entrepreneurial ecosystem in line with the policies of the Government of Nepal.

The Apprenticeship Program will provide skilled manpower for industries and guaranteed jobs for students.

The Startup Program will reduce reliance on imports and develop local innovation and technological capabilities.
