Staying true to this vision, Embark UnMath’s Team conducted interactive classroom activities and follow-up sessions from August 4th – 8th across three schools in Chitwan — Ankuram School, Shiksha Bikash School, and Small Heaven School with the aim of enhancing teaching methodologies and increasing student engagement.
The purpose of this training was to strengthen teachers’ capacity to independently implement planned classroom activities effectively, while ensuring alignment with best practices.
Through a combination of observation, guided support, model class demonstrations and teacher-led practice sessions, the program sought to enhance teaching strategies, improve classroom execution, and foster engaging learning experiences for students.
The training was customized for each school’s needs. At Ankuram School (August 4-5), teachers implemented the activities independently while our team observed and offered guidance when necessary.
At Shiksha Bikash School (August 6-7), the team first demonstrated effective classroom strategies through model lessons, then supported teachers as they practiced the techniques themselves. At Small Heaven School (August 8), our team facilitated hands-on practice sessions where teachers actively engaged with the new methodologies under close mentorship and support.
Speaking about this training, a teacher from Small Heaven School said: “Seeing the students respond so enthusiastically to the activities gives us confidence to try these methods more often.”
Similarly, a teacher from Shiksha Bikash School noted the dramatic change in student engagement: “The students are actively participating in games and activities, whereas they used to be passive during traditional lectures.”
Through this training, teachers gained hands-on experience with innovative classroom strategies while students showed dramatically improved engagement.
Educators now confidently lead these interactive sessions, with students actively participating throughout. The demonstration classes at Shiksha Bikash School particularly impressed both teachers and students alike.
In the coming weeks, the team plans to keep supporting teachers with regular follow-up visits and guidance.
