Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA), in collaboration with Visa International, successfully conducted the ‘Partner Support Workshop Nepal 2024’.

This workshop aimed to enhance the expertise of banking professionals in card services, operational efficiencies, and addressing current challenges within the financial sector.

The event kicked off with opening remarks from Mr. Kapil Gautam, Senior Program Officer at NBA. He emphasized the importance of continuously improving banking operations to meet the growing demands of customers in an evolving financial landscape.

Key presentations were delivered by industry leaders, notably Mr. Ganesh Mohan Chowdhury, Director of Client Services for India and South Asia at Visa. His session covered vital topics including Visa’s operational framework, authorization and settlement processes, dispute resolution, e-commerce transaction liability shift, interchange reimbursement fees (IRF), and upcoming technological advancements. These insights were particularly valuable for banking professionals aiming to stay competitive in the dynamic financial market.

The workshop concluded with closing remarks from Mr. Ashish Chakraborty, Director of Business Development for South Asia at Visa. He expressed gratitude to the participants and reiterated Visa’s commitment to organizing more such informative sessions in the future.

With over 90 participants from commercial banks, Payment Service Operators (PSOs), and Payment Service Providers (PSPs), the workshop marked a significant step towards empowering banking professionals and strengthening the financial ecosystem in Nepal.
