However, most today concentrate only on creating music, which is the flavour of the season. Eternal Sounds will concentrate on creating music that is enduring.
“Junkiri” Project is a music collection of Nepali and English songs by Suman Thapa, which will be released by Eternal Sounds on 7th May 2025 in Kathmandu. The project is an effort to express music through Nepali folk instruments, such as ‘Bansuri’ and ‘Sarangi’, blending with the Western style of songwriting and music. In this project, various musicians have come together to help with the musical arrangement of the songs.
“Mero Awaaz” is a song that expresses grief at the time of losing a loved one.
‘Valley of Sunshine’ portrays a conversation with death and being unafraid to pass on to a beautiful place.
Eternal Sounds has already worked with established names such as Hariharan, Subha Mudgal, Aruna Sairam, Rashid Khan, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Kavita Seth, Mahalakshmi Iyer, Pt Vishwamohan Bhatt, Pt Ronu Mazumdar, Kaushiki Chakraborty, Taufiq Qureshi, Amit Kumar, Rakesh Chaurasia, Pt. S. Sekhar, Kumaresh Rajagopalan, Vidushi Indrani Mukherjee, Chandrika Bhattacharya, Abhisek Mallick, Piu Mukherjee, Ashish Kulkarni, Subhadeep Chowdhury, Anjana Padmanabhan, Ananya Pal, Shovan Ganguli, Gourav Sarkar and many other emerging artists, with whom we have many soulful compositions!
We also wish to create several International collaborations with several prominent artists (depending on their acquiescence) like John McLaughlin, Norah Jones, Ricky Cage, Anoushka Shankar, Greg Ellis, Steve Smith, etc, which may be Grammy-worthy entries from India. These projects will aim to create a mark on the international music scene of the world too. We are gradually reaching out to these artists and creating projects.
