Everest Bank (EBL) 31st AGM Today: Approves 20% Dividend, Excites Shareholders

Everest Bank Limited (EBL) successfully concluded its 31st Annual General Meeting (AGM) today, Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The assembly has unanimously endorsed the proposal to distribute a total of 20% dividend to its shareholders, a move that has been met with considerable enthusiasm.

The AGM, which commenced at 11:00 AM at the Amrapali Banquet in Bhatbhateni, primarily saw the approval of the Board of Directors’ recommendation for a 6 percent Bonus Share and a 14 percent Cash Dividend (including tax on the bonus share) for the fiscal year 2081/82.

Key Agendas Approved:

Discussion and approval of the financial statements for the fiscal year 2081/82, including the Balance Sheet, Profit/Loss Account, and Cash Flow Statement, along with the Chairman’s Annual Report and the Auditor’s Report.

Special resolution passed to amend the Bank’s Memorandum and Articles of Association.

Appointment of a new auditor for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83 and fixation of their remuneration.

Eligibility for Dividend (Book Closure):

For the AGM and dividend distribution, the bank had set the book closure date as Ashoj 24 (September 10). Accordingly, only shareholders whose share transactions were recorded and transferred on Ashoj 23 are eligible to attend the meeting and receive the proposed dividend.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board, the Chief Executive Officer, Directors, shareholders, and representatives from regulatory bodies.

The bank has indicated that it will commence the approved dividend distribution process soon.

This AGM is expected to set a crucial direction for the bank’s future policies, profitability, and institutional reforms.
