Everest Clean Up 2025: Nepal Life & Round Table Partnership for Plastic Waste Removal

Nepal Life Insurance and Round Table Nepal have partnered for the Mount Everest Clean-Up Initiative 2025. This project aims to remove plastic waste from the Everest region and recycle it for reuse. The goal is to protect the environment and support sustainable tourism.
Everest Clean Up 2025
The agreement was signed on Thursday at Global College, Mid-Baneshwor, Kathmandu. Nepal Life Insurance CEO Pravin Raman Parajuli and Round Table Nepal President Pravesh Agrawal officially signed the partnership deal.
Project Goals and Implementation
This initiative will collect 5,000 kilograms of plastic waste in two months. The collected waste will be sent to Kathmandu and other locations for recycling. The campaign focuses on preserving Everest’s beauty and promoting responsible waste management.
Speaking at the event, CEO Parajuli highlighted Everest’s importance as a major tourist attraction. He emphasized Nepal Life’s role in protecting the region.
“Insurance companies manage risks in people’s lives. Now, Nepal Life is also taking responsibility for preserving Everest’s natural beauty. This project will support long-term tourism sustainability,” he said.
Waste Recycling for Education
Round Table Nepal will use funds from recycling efforts to support educational institutions. President Pravesh Agrawal stressed the campaign’s broader impact.
“This initiative not only helps the environment but also benefits education. The funds from recycled waste will be used to support schools and students,” he explained.
