Everest School’s Creative Science Exhibition Ignites Young Minds in Kathmandu
2nd July 2025, Kathmandu
“Science is learned by doing, not just by studying.” This inspiring motto was the driving force behind Everest School’s recent Science and Technology Exhibition, held in collaboration with Nyat-Pol, a leading science organization.
Everest School’s Creative Science Exhibition
The event was a vibrant showcase of young scientific thinking, creativity, and technical skills, significantly contributing to the development of future innovators.
A Glimpse into Young Scientific Minds
The exhibition proudly displayed the creative works of students from grades 2, 3, and 8. Visitors saw a fascinating array of scientific instruments, experimental models, and innovative inventions – all meticulously prepared by the students themselves.
The younger participants from grades 2 and 3 were impressed with simple machines, environmentally themed drawings, recycling machine models, and various handmade materials. Meanwhile, the grade 8 students captivated the audience with more advanced projects, including a solar system model, water purification methods, energy transformation processes, and applications of sensor technology.
Parents Engage, Confidence Soars
A standout feature of the exhibition was the active participation of parents. Their enthusiasm was palpable as they observed their children’s creations, asked insightful questions, and praised the students’ knowledge and understanding.
The students, in turn, were visibly excited to present their experiments to their parents and other guests. Such an environment not only boosted their confidence and public speaking skills but also significantly contributed to the development of their scientific thinking.
Fostering a Nation of Innovators
Bhakta Rajbhandari, the school’s founding Principal, inaugurated the event, emphasizing that “the overall development of a nation is impossible without the development of science.
“He further elaborated, “Such exhibitions ignite students’ interest in science and research. We must provide an environment that makes their thinking practical, and it is from these efforts that future scientists will emerge.”
The overwhelming enthusiasm, creativity, and forward-thinking atmosphere at the exhibition left a lasting impression on everyone. Students, teachers, parents, and visitors alike actively participated, commending Everest School’s educational vision and its strong commitment to practical, hands-on learning.
