Panelists:

Anisha Suri, PhD: Data Scientist, Advanced Analytics at Gilead Sciences. Anisha specializes in applying AI/ML techniques to inform decision-making in clinical operations and study designs within the biopharma and healthcare sectors. With a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, she has a rich background in gait and mobility research, robotic sciences, and neuroimaging.

Lindsey Osimiri, PhD: Senior Data Scientist at BigHat Biosciences. Lindsey is enthusiastic about utilizing computational methods and high-throughput biological data to create novel products. She supports BigHat’s antibody therapeutics programs by building pipelines for high-throughput data and developing interactive data visualization tools. She earned her Ph.D. in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC Berkeley.

Fernanda Guizar, PhD: Computational Biologist at Brightseed. Fernanda works with domain experts to optimize machine learning models and standardize pipelines for efficient data processing and extraction of valuable insights. She holds a Ph.D. in Population Biology from UC Davis.

Marissa Hirst, PhD: Bioinformatician & Owner of Marissa Hirst, LLC. Marissa enjoys tackling complex data-driven questions and transforming messy, multi-omic datasets into compelling stories based on data. She has a diverse background in analyzing genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic data, with a Ph.D. in Microbiology with an Emphasis in Biotechnology from UC Davis.
