Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has urged Nepali youth to explore opportunities within their home country. He believes Nepal holds untapped potential in multiple sectors.
FNCCI President Urges Nepali Youth
President Dhakal delivered this message during the opening of the Nepal Jaycees Youth Summit and Area ‘G’ Conference 2082. The event started on Friday in Kathmandu with hundreds of young participants from across the country.
Shift The Mindset: “Nepal Has Nothing” Is Wrong
Dhakal said it is time to stop repeating the phrase “there is nothing in Nepal.” Instead, he encouraged young people to look around and discover the nation’s hidden strengths. According to him, Nepal is a land full of possibilities. From natural resources to human potential, he believes opportunities are everywhere.
He emphasized that the mindset must change first. “We must stop saying that nothing can happen here. Nepal is not empty. It is a country of possibilities,” he said.
Hard Work And Honesty Open Doors
President Dhakal believes that success in Nepal is possible with the right attitude. He said that people who have skills and a strong desire to work will always find support. Banks, financial institutions, and business partners are ready to help those who are serious about their goals.
“Anyone with determination and honesty can find their place here,” he stated. “We need to identify those opportunities and turn them into real results.”
Youth Hold The Key To Nepal’s Future
He reminded the audience that young people are the backbone of the country. People aged 18 to 40 form a large part of Nepal’s population. This group is full of energy, creativity, and new ideas.
Dhakal believes this group is essential for national progress. He called on them to lead with passion and vision. “Youth can drive change. You have what it takes to transform Nepal,” he said.
Nepal Jaycees Playing A Vital Role
President Dhakal praised Nepal Jaycees (JCI Nepal) for its work in leadership and personal development. The organization helps young people grow not just in confidence, but also in their careers. It also promotes social responsibility and ethical leadership.
He urged Jaycees to continue guiding youth toward entrepreneurship. According to him, youth must not only dream of change, but lead it. “Your efforts are vital for building the nation,” he added.
Entrepreneurship As A Tool For Growth
Dhakal sees entrepreneurship as a major solution to unemployment and poverty. He wants more youth to start businesses and become job creators. He said innovation and self-employment are the future of Nepal.
“Start small, think big, and grow with confidence,” he said. He encouraged the audience to use their creativity and bring new ideas into action.
Financial Support Is Available
President Dhakal assured the youth that financial barriers should not stop them. He mentioned that banks and other financial institutions are ready to invest in good ideas. The private sector is also interested in supporting startups and innovations.
He advised young entrepreneurs to find the right partners and pitch their ideas with clarity and confidence.
Time To Believe In Nepal
Dhakal strongly believes that Nepal can become self-reliant. For this, he said, youth need to stay, work hard, and take charge. He stressed the importance of believing in the nation.
“Stop searching for magic abroad. The future is right here, and it’s bright,” he said. He urged young people to stop chasing short-term solutions overseas and instead contribute to long-term national growth.
Youth Summit As A Platform For Change
The Nepal Jaycees Youth Summit and Area ‘G’ Conference has become a platform for young people to learn and lead. The summit brings together entrepreneurs, leaders, and professionals. Participants attend workshops, panel discussions, and networking sessions.
The summit promotes leadership, business skills, innovation, and civic responsibility. It also encourages teamwork and collaboration among Nepal’s future change-makers.
Call To Action: Let’s Build Nepal Together
In his closing remarks, Dhakal gave a strong call to action. He said that the youth must take the lead in building a better Nepal. The country needs dreamers, doers, and risk-takers.
He concluded, “Nepal doesn’t need to copy others. We can create our own success story. But it starts with you.”
Final Thoughts
Chandra Prasad Dhakal’s speech was more than motivational. It was a reminder that Nepal’s progress depends on the energy and action of its youth. The message was clear: Nepal has potential. The youth have power. Now is the time to act.
