Fonepay Integrates CityPAY Wallet to Expand Nepal’s Digital Payment Network

Fonepay, Nepal’s leading payment system operator, has officially welcomed CityPAY as the 10th digital wallet to be integrated into its ecosystem.

This milestone further strengthens Fonepay’s vision of building a seamless, secure, and inclusive digital payment landscape for Nepal. Through this partnership, CityPAY wallet users can now access Fonepay’s nationwide interoperable QR network, enabling them to make payments at over 1.7 million merchant outlets across the country.

Currently, the Fonepay network connects over 60 banks and financial institutions, along with a growing number of wallet partners, providing millions of users with secure and instant digital transactions. By welcoming CityPAY, Fonepay reinforces its role as a pioneer in advancing financial inclusion and promoting cashless transactions across Nepal.

To mark this significant collaboration, CityPAY has also announced a special festive campaign for its valued customers performing QR transaction Fonepay network. From 2nd September 2025 to 2nd November 2025, all CityPAY wallet users transacting through the platform will automatically enter into a lucky draw.

Furthermore, CityPAY has also allocated 20 reward point on each QR transaction amounting above NPR 500 until the further notice. These reward points can be converted to cash or kind by the beneficiary as per the company’s policy.
