Frost & Sullivan and Nepal NYEF: Nepalese Young Entrepreneurs’ Forum announces the launch of “Innovate to Zero” #CaseChallenge2018 in Kathmandu. This initiative aims at eradicating open defecation and envisions major sanitation reforms across Nepal. Open Defecation has always been a significant problem in Nepal. However, after the 2015 earthquake, the vision of achieving ‘sanitation for all’ and dealing the open defecation problem has become even more of a challenge.

Frost and Sullivan is a global consulting firm, headquartered in the United States. This firm provides its clients (domestic and international) access to services on market research and analysis to create and develop innovative strategies and business opportunities. The Frost and Sullivan, Nepal Team, is currently working in sectors like healthcare.

Telecommunications, energy, and tourism, to generate research data that can provide insights into these fields and also drive investment opportunities. Frost and Sullivan have also been organizing several programs like “Uncovering Nepal: Exploring Trends and Emerging Opportunities” to provide insights on the potential of various sectors here in Nepal.

This “CASE CHALLENGE” is aimed at educating and inspiring the youth to deliberate on digital solutions to address this challenge within the country. The intent is to eliminate open defecation across communities, to accelerate the country’s progress through digitization. The digital solutions presented by the candidates will have to ensure to cover the mentioned areas.

Winning teams at 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions to be awarded Prize money worth US$1,000, US$500, and US$250, respectively. Nominations close on 18th July 2018, and the jury will shortlist the top 3 teams and announce the finalists by 29th July. The finalists will then be mentored by Frost & Sullivan to better their solutions, and the winners will be announced at Frost & Sullivan’s Digital Summit on 3rd August 2018.
