Future Security Experts Will Shape Society, DSP Pashupati Raya

Cyber Security International (CSI) Nepal, a provider of Cyber Security Awareness Campaign, was held at the premises of Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya by Cyber Security International Nepal. The program was attended by the students of Grade 10 and teachers of Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya.

The program was started with an opening speech from Mr. Shamin Anwar Shamin, Principal, Sainik Awasiya Mahavidyalaya where he stated, “We have been facing so many problems regarding the security matter while using internet, which so many time goes unattended and these matters should be brought into light so that other people may not fall victim in similar cases.”

Dr. Ramhari Subedi, Ph.D. in Cyber Security delivered his presentation showcasing the importance of cybersecurity and the consequences we may face while ignoring it. He outlined, “In the future when Nepal will adopt an online payment system, they surely will be exposed to more cyber-attacks then now. We must develop the proper infrastructure so that we could minimize the cyber-threats in the future.”

Mr. Biplav Man Singh, Chairman, Nepal Certifying Company said, “We have to think globally and act locally to reduce the crimes we have been facing while using the internet. The worldwide coverage of internet has earned communication education but, with these various types of crimes have been raised due to the curiosity factor in the young generation. The curiosity on the internet should be turned positively for further personality and career development.”

DSP Pashupati Raya from CIB Nepal Police ended the seminar where he talked about the importance of cybersecurity awareness program. He said that “Though the Internet has eased up our lives, with so many benefits; it also has a dark side. While using the Internet, mainly being the social media where the young generation; who are its major users must be careful and aware of the available security measures.”
