Genese Solution Explores GenAI, Cybersecurity, and Customer Engagement

Genese Solution, a UK-based value IT consulting and cybersecurity company, organized an interaction on Friday (February 21) in Kathmandu focusing on GenAI, cybersecurity, and customer engagement.

At the event,  Mr Niranjan Kunwar, Chief Technical, and Chief Information Security Officer, at Genese Solution, advised companies to take a holistic, process and technology approach to mature cyber security practices and reduce risks.  Highlighting the importance of a comprehensive cybersecurity approach involving people, processes, and technology, Mr Kunwar outlined a three-step framework: assessing current practices, creating a roadmap, and prioritizing actions based on impact and effort.

Vice President of Engineering at Genese Solution, Bishnu Subedi, said that GenAI will open the opportunity to unlock distinctiveness to gain a competitive advantage and enable business leaders to move faster.

Vice President of Genese Solution, Kailash Badu, said that with ChatGPT, every message and email seems the same, the scenario was different before ChatGPT. “Earlier, every email and message showed personality and felt personal.  In this current world, because of GenAI, more things and messages are going to come into the market. We need to stand out in these markets and create a WOW factor using technology.  We cannot be 100 different people with the same face,” he added.

Head of the Quantitative Strategies Department at Cross River – a New York-based bank  Pravesh Rijal, said that more than 20 engineers from Genese Solution were working as staff developers at the Cross River Bank. In close partnership with AWS, we are transforming our workings, team designs, technology stacks, and knowledge base, he said.

An AWS Virtual Session was also organized during the event.

In his concluding remarks, the chief executive officer of Genese Solution, Anjani Phuyal, said that AI has brought both opportunities and challenges in the global tech sector and Nepal should not lag. He stressed the need to leverage Generative AI for business growth and called upon companies to devote more resources to meet emerging cybersecurity challenges.

Participants at the interaction included Chief Technical Officers, Chief Information Security Officers, and tech leaders from banks, telecom companies, and IT companies.
