Global IME Bank Limited has launched an innovative lounge named “Digital Universe” aimed at providing a variety of automated digital banking services.

The new facility, inaugurated during a special ceremony on Sunday, features state-of-the-art machines, including check deposit machines, cash deposit machines, and ATMs.

The inauguration event was graced by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, the President of the Federation of Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the President of Global IME Bank Ltd. Speaking at the event, Chairman Dhakal emphasized the significance of this initiative in promoting digital banking and encouraging the general public to engage in digital transactions. He stated, “The operation of Digital Universe will help to promote digital banking and encourage the common people to do digital transactions, as well as provide simple and convenient banking services to customers.”

Dhakal further highlighted that this step aligns with Global IME Bank’s ongoing efforts to offer faster and simpler banking services. “The purpose of Digital Universe, which we are launching today, is in line with the journey towards digital banking that is currently taking place worldwide,” he noted.

In the current era, the importance of digital banking is growing, offering secure and convenient services to customers at their preferred times. The Digital Universe initiative is expected to play a pivotal role in this digital transformation, meeting the evolving needs of customers and contributing significantly to the foundation of Digital Nepal.

The event saw the presence of the bank’s directors, chief executive officer, and other senior management officials, reflecting the bank’s commitment to embracing innovative banking technologies and enhancing customer service.
