Global IME Bank Limited has launched an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at its corporate office in Kamaladi, Kathmandu. This initiative was timed to mark World Environment Day and reflects the bank’s commitment to sustainability and clean energy practices.

The EV charging station was inaugurated during a special event held on Thursday. Director of Global IME Bank, Krishna Prasad Sharma, along with Deputy CEO Suman Pokharel and Gaadi Charge Pvt. Ltd. CEO Preksha Shrestha, jointly opened the station.
The charging facility features a CC2 Single Gun 40kW charger, installed in partnership with Gaadi Charge Pvt. Ltd., a company that specializes in electric vehicle charging solutions.

The new station will benefit both customers and employees who use electric vehicles. They can now charge their vehicles while visiting or working at the bank. The bank says this service is part of its customer care efforts and environmental responsibility.

With their technical support, the bank installed a 40kW charger, which is suitable for most electric cars in Nepal. The charger uses CC2 technology, which is widely accepted for its fast-charging capabilities and reliability.
