This pioneering step aims to increase consumer confidence and support the ongoing transition to sustainable mobility.

Gogoro EV Buyback Guarantee Nepal

Under this innovative program, Gogoro guarantees a buyback value of NPR 1 lakh on its scooters, valid for up to five years or 40,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. This means customers now have the added assurance of resale value protection—a first for electric two-wheelers in Nepal.

The buyback initiative officially came into effect on August 4, 2025, and is expected to set a new benchmark in the EV industry. By offering this program, Gogoro not only strengthens its commitment to customer satisfaction but also encourages wider adoption of eco-friendly transportation.

With rising interest in EVs across the country, this buyback assurance could be a game-changer, reducing buyer hesitation and reinforcing the long-term value of going electric.

About Gogoro Nepal Nebula

Gogoro Nepal refers to the operations of Gogoro Inc., a global technology leader in battery-swapping ecosystems, in Nepal. Their presence in the Nepali market is facilitated through a strategic partnership with Nebula Energy, who is the authorized and exclusive distributor of Gogoro Smartscooters and the operator of the battery-swapping network in the country.

The core innovation Gogoro brings to Nepal is its battery-swapping subscription model. This revolutionary system allows electric scooter users to exchange a depleted battery for a fully charged one at designated “GoStations” in minutes, eliminating the need for long charging times. This service-based approach aims to provide efficiency, convenience, and affordability for electric two-wheeler users.

Gogoro Nepal currently offers several electric scooter models, including the Gogoro JeGO, Gogoro Pulse (available in standard and Ultra variants), and the Gogoro CrossOver GX250. These scooters are designed to integrate seamlessly with Gogoro’s battery-swapping system and come with various features tailored for urban commuting, performance, and utility.

Nebula Energy has established a growing network of battery-swapping stations across the Kathmandu Valley, with plans for further expansion to other cities. These stations are strategically located to ensure easy accessibility for riders, often found at petrol stations, marts, and other common interest areas. Gogoro’s battery-swapping technology is touted as a solution to common electric vehicle concerns such as range anxiety, long charging times, and the upfront cost of battery ownership, making EV adoption more practical and accessible in Nepal.
