Golchha Group Donates Rs. 5 Crores to Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH)
Nepal’s one of the leading industrial and business houses, Golchha Group, has contributed Rs. 5 crores to Kathmandu Institute of Child Health (KIOCH) for children’s healthcare services.

This donation was made at an event on Wednesday with the aim of improving healthcare services and ensuring easy treatment access for children. At the event, Chairman Sekhar Golchha and Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala signed a financial support agreement under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.
During the handover ceremony, Sekhar Golchha expressed his pride in being a part of the initiative to build children’s hospitals all across seven provinces. He also announced that under the foundation’s social responsibility activities, their collaboration with KIOCH has officially started from today.
He also assured Golchha Group’s continued participation and support for such noble acts and believes that this initiative will further enhance the healthcare services in the future.
Upon receiving the contribution, Prof. Dr. Bhagwan Koirala thanked Golchha Group for their support. “The support from Golchha Group will be used to help thousands of children receive high-quality medical care, as well as to support the ongoing construction of hospitals in each province”, Dr. Koirala added.
Under the master plan to establish children’s hospitals in all the seven provinces, the hospitals in Damak of Koshi Province, and Kathmandu of Bagmati Province are currently in operation. KIOCH was established with the goal of providing high-quality healthcare services to the children.
Golchha Group is one of the oldest and most prominent business groups in Nepal with the legacy of being pioneering organizations to drive industrialization in the country.
Employing over 20,000 people, the group is also heavily involved in numerous CSR activities. For decades, they have collaborated with organizations like Teacher for Nepal, Disabled Newlife Center, Ramlal Golchha Eye Hospital (Biratnagar), Shree Saraswati Secondary School (Ramagram-12, Nawalparasi), and Nepal Ambulance.
