Google Adds Language Translation
Google has announced a significant update to its translation service, making it more inclusive and accessible by adding support for the Newari language.
In a recent blog post, the company shared that its translation service now covers a total of 143 languages.
Initially, Google Translate offered translations for English, Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, and Turkish.
Nepali was added in 2070. This update introduces several new languages, with a quarter of them spoken in African countries.
Notably, Cantonese, a language long requested by users, has been included after overcoming considerable challenges.
To use the updated service, users can visit translate.google.com, input text in the left pane, and view the translated text in the right pane.
This expansion aims to enhance communication and understanding across diverse linguistic communities worldwide.
